Play in the browser
The browser game is live. Choose Play Instantly (Guest) to open the command deck, start a quest, or play a mini-game without an account. Guest progress stays in that browser.
A quest is a themed set of stages that open in order. Starting a stage builds a 15 by 15 American-style crossword with numbered across and down clues. The mini-games are Letter Pop, Word Scramble, Word Dragger, and Time Trials.
Sign in to sync XP, streaks, inventory, and co-op across devices. Signing in from a browser that already has a guest session copies that guest progress onto the account. Shop, guilds, chat, inventory, settings, and daily rewards require an account.

CrossQuest Adventures features immersive quest themes, each with unique stories, visual environments, and audio ambience. Themes range from easy adventures perfect for beginners to extreme challenges for expert players. Some themes are seasonal and only available during specific times of the year!

Some quest themes are only available during specific times of the year. These limited-time themes offer unique challenges and rewards. Keep an eye out for seasonal themes like:
- New Year's Resolution - Available January 1-31
- More seasonal themes may be added throughout the year!
Seasonal themes appear at the top of the quest carousel when available and disappear when their time period ends.
⚔️ Difficulty & XP System
Each quest has a set difficulty
On the web, a quest does not ask you to pick Easy, Medium, or Hard. The quest itself has a difficulty, and every stage is a 15 by 15 crossword. Scoring uses that difficulty as a multiplier.
Enchanted Forest.
Pirate Treasure Hunt and Space Adventure.
Medieval Castle and Ancient Egypt.
Underwater Kingdom. Seasonal quests use a 1.25 multiplier while they are open.
XP Calculation Example:
Base reward: 100 XP + 50 XP (no hints) + 25 XP (fast) = 175 XP
- Easy Mode: 175 XP × 1.0 = 175 XP
- Medium Mode: 175 XP × 1.5 = 263 XP
- Hard Mode: 175 XP × 2.0 = 350 XP

Each quest has a fixed difficulty that sets its XP multiplier. Web stages are 15 by 15 crosswords at that quest's difficulty.

Pop bubbles to build words from floating letters. Choose Alphabet mode (all 26 letters) or Scramble mode (target word puzzles). Build streaks, use hints, and play anytime with no cooldown! Earns 100+ XP based on word length and streaks.
Unscramble the letters to form words matching the clues. Complete 10 rounds within 60 seconds. Earns 50 XP per completion. 30-minute cooldown between plays.
Drag the correct word to match its definition from multiple choice options. Complete 10 rounds within 60 seconds. Earns 75 XP per completion. 30-minute cooldown between plays.
Tap the highlighted character (vowel, consonant, or number) before time expires. Complete 10 rounds within 15 seconds total. Earns 100 XP per completion. 60-minute cooldown between plays.
Join or create guilds to collaborate with other players! Guilds compete on leaderboards and are classified by Tiers based on their overall strength.
Guild Tiers: S+ (Elite), S (Legendary), A (Veteran), B (Established), C (Rising), D (New/Inactive)
Tiers are calculated from Guild XP, weekly activity, and active member count. Higher tiers represent stronger, more active guilds. The # column shows leaderboard placement, while Tier shows overall guild strength.

- ⏱️ Time Trials: Tap highlighted characters (vowel, consonant, or number) before time expires. Complete 10 rounds within 15 seconds. 60-minute cooldown.

The rarest gem type, used for premium items and top-tier chests such as the Celestial Chest. Earned from Radiant, Mythic, and Celestial chests.

Reveal a single letter in the puzzle (5 free per day, max 10 total)
Reveal an entire word (2 free per day, max 2 total)
Instantly solve the entire puzzle (earned from chests and achievements)

Chests contain gems, tokens, and other valuable rewards. Higher tier chests offer better rewards:
Basic rewards including sapphires and letter/word tokens. Earned from Daily Puzzle, Letter Pop, Word Scramble, Word Dragger, and Time Trials.
Enhanced rewards with more sapphires and rubies. Earned from completing Any Two Puzzles challenge.
Premium rewards including rubies and diamonds. Earned from completing Limited Challenge.
The ultimate reward tier with the best gems and tokens. Earned from completing the Weekly Reward (5 days of challenges).
Legendary tier with premium gems and tokens. Earned from special events and podium prizes, or purchased with Diamonds in the shop for top-tier rewards.
Open chests from your Inventory to claim rewards. Unopened chests are saved and synced across devices!
